NEBOSH Courses

Man completing practical part of his NEBOSH CoursesWe offer the full range of NEBOSH courses. Formed in 1979, NEBOSH is the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health. Based in the UK, they are an independent examination board that offers a number of vocational qualifications in health and safety and environmental management that are designed to meet the needs of all businesses and organisations. NEBOSH qualifications are recognised by such institutions as IOSH (the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) and CIWEM (the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management).

Over 180,000 people around the world have NEBOSH qualifications and every year over 50,000 candidates enter their examinations having been on courses offered by over 600 providers. Although a UK based health and safety examination body, students study NEBOSH in over 110 countries. In recognition for the success of the qualifications offered by NEBOSH, in 2014 they were awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise.

NEBOSH Examinations and Assessments

All NEBSOH assessments and examinations are set by its highly qualified staff who are ably assisted by a range of external examiners, the vast majority of whom are Chartered Members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health or Chartered Members of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. Staff and external examiners have a wide range of health and safety experience in a broad range of industries, both in the private and public sector.

The Qualifications and Technical Council oversee NEBOSH’s technical standards and they are an approved awarding body with the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority).

Only health and safety training providers that have been fully accredited by NEBOSH are allowed to run NEBOSH H&S training courses.

The NEBOSH General Certificate

Since it was first launched in 1989, the  NEBOSH’s General Certificate has been studied for by over 160,000 people and is the UK’s most widely held health and safety qualification. Some people take the Certificate as their first step towards a career in H&S as it provides a good foundation for further study. However, it is just as suitable for managers, team leaders and supervisors from a wide range of organisations who need a broad and solid understanding of health and safety.

The NEBOSH Diploma

The NEBOSH Diploma is the number one qualification in the UK for those people who want ta career as health and safety professionals. Since its inception in 1989, over 10,000 students have undertaken the course and successfully gained the Diploma. The course builds upon the foundations learnt in the NEBOSH Certificate course and provides budding professionals the expertise needed to undertake a successful career as a health and safety professional as well as further professional and postgraduate study.

NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety

First introduced in 1989, the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety has been successfully studied by over 12,000 candidates and is the UK’s number one and most widely recognised qualification for H&S in the construction industry. Aimed at managers, supervisors and those who are involved with complying with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM). Its aim is to ensure that all activities under their control are done so safely, so is also useful for those people involved in the management of buildings who may have to oversee a range of contractors.  Other people it may be suitable for include those involved in utilities, events or broadcasting where temporary workplaces are a part of their day-to-day activities.
